Snapchat has announced that it will discontinue its desktop camera app, allowing users to access various filters and lenses from their computer. The app released in 2018, was popular among users who wanted to add playful and creative touches to their photos and videos.
However, in a statement, Snapchat said that it has decided to shift its focus to its mobile app, which has seen a surge in usage in recent years. “We have made the decision to sunset our desktop camera app in order to fully focus on our core products, including our popular mobile app,” the company said.
While the desktop camera app will no longer be available for download, users who have already installed the app will still be able to use it. However, Snapchat warned that the app may not receive updates or support in the future.
