Google’s AI companion ‘Bard’ Vs Microsoft AI-powered Bing

It’s time to get ready for AI battles have started.

As Microsoft enters the AI market with ChatGPT, launched through ChatGPT’s parent company OpenAI, Google enters with its very own AI companion- Bard.

It is powered by LaMDA technology and is expected to go on air in a few weeks. This intensifies the fight to dominate the Technology borderline between the two tech giants.

What did Google reveal?

Early last week, Google revealed that it will be launching ChatGPT’s adversary named Baer to a select test group.

CEO Sundar Pichai tweeted- “AI could help us get to the core of what people are looking for” as he talked about how Bard can be helpful with searches.

As mentioned above, Bard is powered by the LaMDA, known as the Language Model for Dialogue Applications, which Google claims that it has the ability to converse naturally- in a far more enhanced manner as compared to other chatbots. As a result, it is no surprise that the organization registered a million users in the first 5 days and 100 million users in a span of just 2 months.

Microsoft updates to an AI-powered Bing

After Google disclosed the reveal of Baed, Microsoft revealed the new and updated version of Bing and Edge browser, its search engines.

According to its claims, ‘Bing works on a new, next-gen OpenAI language model which is much more powerful than ChatGPT. It suggests that this update offers a new internet experience backed by AI and will redefine the search experience.

CEO Satya Nadella said, “AI is all about alignment with human preferences and social norms.”
