Mark Zuckerberg is back at it again! And this time, it is simply explosive.
After the buzz of ‘Project 92’, the CEO of Meta has launched yet another social media app- Threads.
Within merely a few hours following its worldwide blast-off, Threads, Meta’s social media platform designed to capitalize on Twitter’s self-inflicted issues, has already surpassed over 10 million users, surpassing ChatGPT.
This seems to give Threads some credence as a real Twitter substitute.
What is ‘Threads’?
With the ability to publish text, photographs, or videos, as well as like, share, or repost anything, the new software is eerily similar to Twitter.
The initial integration of Threads accounts with Instagram enables users to preserve their Instagram usernames and connections. Links, images, and videos of up to five minutes can be included in posts that are up to 500 characters long.
Although Mark Zuckerberg has committed to upgrades, Threads has not yet implemented Twitter’s chat feature.
A few hours after the application made its debut, Zuckerberg wrote: “The team did a terrific job with Threads. There is still a long way to go, but a truly talented group has built a strong foundation.”
The Ludicrous Fued
For a while, the ‘Elon vs. Mark’ duo have been making feisty digs at one another. However, their dispute has recently gotten petty, with Musk tweeting “Zuck is a cuck.”

Eight hours following that tweet, Musk replied to his “cuck” tweet and proposed “a literal dick measuring contest”, further adding to the ‘Elon vs. Mark’ feud.

Although it appears unlikely that the feud will actually take place, the rivalry between the two billionaires is still raging on social media, exacerbated worse by the success of Zuckerberg’s Threads.
Is Twitter in Trouble?
With so many similarities and the rush of users, the app seems to be getting branded as Twitter’s rival.
The corporation has an extensive track record of releasing new features in response to the advances of competitors. The introduction of Threads comes in the wake of several controversial decisions made by Elon Musk, the owner of Twitter, including a decision to restrict the number of postings that users could view.
Remarkably, Threads asserts it gained 10 million new users in a matter of hours. Many celebrities, as well as brands, greeted people in the network.
However, the app is not yet accessible in the European Union due to continuing regulatory issues and its accessibility in the region is still unknown.
