In October of 2022, Elon Musk bought Twitter for $44 billion.
Ever since the takeover, there have been significant structural changes including the exit of former CEO Parag Agrawal, the monthly verification subscriptions, etc.
In a peculiar turn of events, Twitter has changed its logo from its famous blue tweet bird to the ‘Doge’ meme.
Elon Must (the current CEO of Twitter), confirmed to this update through his recent tweets. The bird was replaced with the logo of Dogecoin Cryptocurrency (the renowned Shiba Inu dog meme).
This change to the doge meme can only be seen in the web version of Twitter and not the app version.
On April 4, Musk confirmed it by tweeting a conversation he had with a Twitter user with the caption- “As promised”.

On Friday, attorneys representing Twitter had a word with the US Federal Judge to reconsider and let go of the $258 billion lawsuit that alleged manipulation of Dogecoin’s value and increasing it up to 36000%.
Dogecoin is one of the most valued cryptocurrencies in the market today with a market cap of more than $13 billion.
Musk got into the crypto market a few years ago and has always been talking about it through Twitter.
The court filings describe his public tweets about Dogecoin as ‘innocuous and often silly’. His other two companies, ‘The Boring Company’ and ‘Tesla’ have also seemed to be mentioned in the lawsuit.
According to recent Bloomberg reports, there was a 30% boost in Dogecoin’s value after the logo change.
It is no surprise that Elon Musk has made a lot of major changes ever since he took over Twitter and there certainly have been a lot of mixed reactions from the users.
